Merdeka Carnival 2008

This year, the Merdeka Carnival in London was done at Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre, Brikendonbury, Hertfordshire, on 30 August, due to the fasting month.

Perpaduan teras kejayaan. A new Merdeka theme for Malaysia's 51st year of independence. And there's a new logo too. Well, I hope that there's still a large amount of perpaduan among the people of Malaysia.

A lot of Malaysian families were there. And the weather was just great. There are tons of stalls selling loads of Malaysian delicacies! I didn't waste any time in getting the Puji-Pujian satay. Don't want to wait till later coz I know for sure that there will be a long queue.

Getting the first taste of Satay Puji-Pujian. Memang tiada tolok tandingnya.

Our dearest friend Kak Bib & her hubby Terry was also there

Cik Kiah from Slough - Ana, Niza & Ross. Mmm..posing maut gitu..auwww!

One of the stalls - Kelab UMNO London

Guess what this is? Roti canai? Ekkkkkkk.. it's murtabak

Towards the end, there were some activities held: musical chairs for the kids and tug of war
for both men & women. I must say that there was some intense rivalry during the musical chairs. Those kids were very competitive. The men's tug of war was tight as well.

Happy faces of the youngsters..our future leader

Men - Tug of War

At the end of the day, we certainly enjoyed ourselves! Good food, good weather.. what more can we ask, other than "Selamat Menyambut Hari Merdeka!"
