It was drizzling when we arrived. We went straight to Champ Elysee. The most prestigious and broadest avenue in Paris. What else can I say about this famous avenue that has already been said. It is indeed a fashion hub, full of life and plenty of restaurants!! Rye - u would indeed turn wild if u r here.
Squeezing our way towards Arc de Triomphe. It was 10 minutes walk from our hotel i.e. Le Meridian Etoille. Erected at the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle to honour those who fought for France, mainly during the Napoleonic Wars. Was designed by Jean Chalgrin in 1806, inspired by the Roman Arch of Titus. It is over 51 meters (165 ft) high and 45 meters wide.
The roundabout around the Arc is also so wide. It's so hard to manouver around it especially with the French way of driving. And plus, they drive on the wrong side of the road of course.
